Outside of work, I’m a proud femme Chicana motivated by LGBTQ+ and animal rights advocacy. It all started with a tiny corgi puppy named Tonks. Tonks was my first fur baby and was the love of my life. She lost the battle against cancer in Aug 2020, but she never lost her fiery spirit. Today, we remember her sassy attitude and relentless passion for fetching.I adopted my not-so-little prince Watson seven years ago as a pup. He’s a soft boi™ German Shepherd who wants nothing more than to follow me around our San Diego home and sleep.My partner, Eli, and I fostered a three-year-old lab mastiff mix, Orca, who had zero spatial awareness and showed her love through hilarious songs and vocalizations. She got adopted in Nov 2020 and is with her new forever family, enjoying many adventures.We couldn't let Watson be without a buddy, so we adopted a puppy Shiba Inu named Momo. She loves heckin' with her older brother and is still learning about her new world. So far, she's not a fan of boundaries. :)
